Greetings!When you need to ask someone for a certain item, or directions, start off with:"Hey there, may I ask...."
This is commonly used when starting a conversation, especially if you're a tourists you can start by asking directions with this formalities. "Good morning..." and "Good afternoon..." When in a restaurant or hotel and you're at the receptionist or ordering, always start with either "Good morning" or "Good afternoon" Due to the fact your in a place where you need to respect the staff members. Always remember your manners when talking! |

"Please" When asking for something, it best to add 'please' at the end, they will take this as something you need or want. "Thank you" After have you have received your item you needed or wanted say thank you! don't be one of the rude customers, who don't apologise nor thank the waiter! "Sorry" If you have accidently dropped or broke something, say sorry! "Pardon me" If you somehow drop or create a disturbance in a formal place makes sure to pardon yourself before it turns in to a break out. "Excuse me" If you for some reason burp in public or need to get through a crowd of people make sure to say excuse me before leaving or going through a crowd of people. |
GoodbyesWhen leaving the conversation, leave it off with:"Thank you, goodbye!"
When you finally got the information you needed end the your conversation politely, manners is the key to have a nice relaxing trip! "Got to go, bye!" If you got a buddy where you're going, make sure to leave it off at a good note to make a memory for them and for yourself. |
